Our Vision and Values

Our Vision

At St Martin’s we are proud to be a family, where every single person belongs and everyone is loved equally.  We are all valued for the unique individuals that we are. We know that being different is good and we celebrate the God given gifts we have been blessed with, working hard to shine brightly in all we do. We know we can make a positive difference as God’s caretakers of the world.

Through our FRESH values we create a harmonious community where we have fun, laugh together and are inspired to love God, love ourselves and love one another.  We are taught the academic and personal skills and knowledge that we need in order to succeed and meet our full potential in all we do. This is so that we are ready for the next part of our learning journey and beyond.

We find our strength and motivation through our faith and know that, ‘I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength’. Philippians 4:13

Our Values

We have adopted the following Christian Values based on the acronym of ‘FRESH‘. We use this acronym to help us remember these important values. We have linked each value to a story in the Bible, to help the children understand this value and how it links to our Christian ethos and how Jesus lived.

Our values guide both the adults and the children in the choices and decisions they make. Our Christian 'FRESH' values are below, along with the Bible story they are linked to.

Friendship - Jesus healing the paralysed man

Respect - The Good Samaritan

Empathy - Jesus heals the man with leprosy

Sharing - Jesus feeds the 5000

Humility - The Widow's Mite

Our Faith

Based upon Christian family values, in a multi-cultural society, we strive to develop and grow to our full potential as citizens in our local and world community.

As a Church School, the love of Jesus Christ is our foundation, which we hope will be evident to all who pass through our doors. It guides our values, decisions and forms a firm foundation for the rest of the our school.
