About Us
Welcome to St Martin's Primary School
St Martin's Primary CofE School is located on Lower Church Lane, Tipton, West Midlands, DY4 7PG. Situated in the heart of our community in Tipton, the school serves the local community and is part of the Sandwell local authority. As a voluntary controlled primary school, it provides education for children aged 3 to 11 years.
At St Martin’s, we are more than a school — we are a family. Every child who walks through our doors is known, valued and loved for the unique, God‑given gifts they bring. Guided by our Christian vision, “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13) we nurture confident, compassionate and curious learners who shine brightly in all they do.
Our school is a joyful, inclusive community where Friendship, Respect, Empathy, Sharing and Humility (FRESH) shape daily life. These values are lived out in classrooms, on the playground, in worship, and in the way we treat one another. They help our children grow not only academically, but personally, spiritually and socially.
Rooted in Faith, growing in confidence
As a Church of England school, our Christian ethos is woven through all aspects of school life. Daily acts of worship, opportunities for reflection and strong links with St Martin’s Church help children develop spirituality, moral understanding and a sense of belonging.
We encourage children to recognise their God‑given gifts and to use them to serve others with kindness and courage.
A Place where Every Child can flourish
We believe that every child has the potential to make a positive difference in the world. Through our rich, ambitious CUSP curriculum, high expectations and evidence‑informed teaching, we ensure that pupils develop the knowledge, skills and character they need for the next stage of their learning journey — and for life.
Our staff are dedicated professionals who care deeply about each child’s wellbeing and success. We work in close partnership with families, celebrating diversity and ensuring that every child feels a strong sense of belonging.
