Our School Day
Our school day is organised in such a way to provide maximum time for learning across a balanced curriculum.
Our school days starts at 8:55am and ends at 3:25pm (32.5 hours)
free breakfast club (new for september 2026)
Children from recpetion to year 6 can access a free breakfast club from 8:15am each morning, where they will be offered a nutritious breakfast and time to settle into school and socialise. We are offering this club with our partners at 4 Community Trust, a local not for profit organisation that already supports children across Sandwell.
The breakfast club is part of the government's national programme to make sure every child can start the day with a healthy breakfast and be ready to learn.
The basics
• When: Every school morning from Thursday, 3 September
• Time: 8:15 am to 8:45 am. The school day begins at 8:45 am as usual.
• Cost: Free
• Who: All pupils are welcome, from Reception to Year 6 (nursery information below)
• Where: in our wrap around care room, via the external door.
If your child is in our Mini Martin's nursery, you are able to access this provision, however, we will not be able to offer this free of charge, as the DFE only funds reception to year 6. This will be available from 7:30am at a cost of £6.30 per session.
To register for a place in the club, please complete this registration form, so that 4 Community Trust have all of your details.
Registering helps us plan for numbers, staffing, and food, and means we can hold your child's allergy and medical information so we can keep them safe. It does not commit you to set days. Your child can come as often or as little as you like, whether that is every morning or just the odd day.
Morning Routines
The school gate opens at 8.45am each morning. Children enter through the main school entrance and will be welcomed by staff members. Children who have attended break Club will be taken to their classes by staff.
Children are able to go straight in to school and into class. All children will be warmly greeted by the teachers and support staff within their classroom. The school gate closes promptly at 8.55am. Any children arriving after 8.55am will be recorded as late.
Nursery and Reception: The classroom doors at the front of school
Years 1, 2, 3 and 4: Playground conservatory
Years 5 and 6: Forest Conservatory.
A member of the Senior Leadership Team will be outside should you need any assistance.
End of Day Routines
The school gates open to our families at 3.15pm and close at 3:35pm. Late collection after 3:35pm will be from the Main Entrance
Mini Martin's Nursery: from their classroom door at the front of school.
Reception: from their classroom door at the front of school.
Years 1, 2 and 3 : from the hall conservatory door on the playground.
Year 4: from the Forest Conservatory.
Year 5: from the Main Entrance
Year 6: from the breakfast / after school club door if walking home alone (close to the school crossing patrol) , or from the Main Entrance if being collected.
