Communication
Communication between school and home is crucial to a good partnership with parents, we know that working closely together with families ensures the best possible school experience.
We have a range of ways that we communicate important information with you. If you need to contact us for any reason, please familiarise yourself with the above document which outlines lines of communication you are able to access.
We are (as much as possible) paper-free and use technology as an alternative.
Home and School Communication Overview
REACH MORE PARENTS APP
All of our communication is now through our Reach More Parents App, which can be found in our usual App Store.
The app is secure and only available to parents of children at our school. Both parents can access the app, but each will require their own login code, which can be supplied by the school.
The app has several functions:
Translate - you can change the language in the app to your home language.
Absence reporting - you can use the app to let us know that your child will be absent, you can also attach supporting documents, such a doctors appointments.
Newsfeed - this is where we share good news and general reminders.
Calendar - this shows the events you need to know about for your child/ren. Each day you will get a notification with what is happening on that day. All dates for the year are listed on the calendar, so you do not miss an event.
Notices - this is where we will post important information that you need to know or to act on e.g. letters about events in school. The notices will stay on your 'Noticeboard' until the event has ended.
Forms - this is where we will post forms you need to complete e.g. consent forms for trips, photo consent, clubs applications.
Messages - we can send you direct messages to your message inbox, you will also receive a message when anew notice or form has been posted for your information. You can also use the message function to message staff (please see our home school communication guidance).
Parents' Evenings - the app will be used for you to book and amend a Parent's Evening appointment.
The Hub - this is where we will put useful documents and links to websites that you may need.
