Our School Pets

Our school is home to a small but very special community of animals who bring curiosity, comfort, and joy to our days. Each one lives in a different part of the school, creating little pockets of excitement and calm wherever they are.

In Nursery, our lively gerbils keep our youngest learners fascinated with their tunnelling, exploring, and busy little routines. They help children learn to be gentle, observant, and caring as they watch them play and scurry about.

Over in the library, our two friendly guinea pigs have made themselves right at home. Students love reading beside them, visiting them during quiet moments, and enjoying the calm, cosy atmosphere they create.

Together, our pets help teach responsibility, empathy, and a love of the natural world — all while making our school feel even more like a community.

Caramel and Latte - Our Guinea PIgs

Caramel the Guinea Pig

Caramel is a gentle, calm boy who brings a peaceful presence to the library. He loves settling into a cosy spot while students read nearby, and his soft nature helps create a warm, relaxing atmosphere. Caramel is steady, sweet, and always happy to enjoy a quiet moment with visitors.

Latte the Guinea Pig

Latte is the more adventurous of the pair. He’s bright‑eyed, curious, and often the first to peek out when someone walks into the library. With his friendly squeaks and eager greetings, he brings a spark of fun and energy to the room, making every visit feel special.

Our Nursery gerbils are tiny bundles of excitement, always tunnelling, digging, and popping up to see what the children are doing. Their playful, curious nature makes them perfect companions for our youngest learners, who love watching them explore and build their busy little world.
