  • Pupil Leadership

Here at St Martin's our pupils work with us to make school the best it can be. We have a wide range of pupil leadership opportunities for children from Reception to Year 6.

School Council - Led by Mrs Rought

This group were elected by their classmates to be a voice for their opinions and ideas. They meet with Mrs Rought to discuss and make plans to make our school better.

Worship Council - led by Mrs Dodd

This group have the job of encouraging others to be FRESH like the school values. They also evaluate, lead and share ideas for worship.

Eco-Council - led by Mrs Hood

This group are interested in environmental issues and want to take action to improve our school and community. Their missions is to raise awareness, save resources, promote recycling and encourage everyone to create a clean and green environment

Safeguarding Champions - Led by Mrs Lees and Miss Barnett

This group of year 5 and 6 children have received special  training in how to support someone in school with a worry. They know how to escalate concerns to a member of the safeguarding team if needed,

Playleaders - led by Mrs Cooksey

A group of Year 5 and 6 children who are trained to lead small games on the play ground at lunchtime. Their aim is to make lunchtimes more active and fun for everyone.

Librarians - led by Mrs Moore

This is a group of passionate readers from Year 5, who take care of our library, keeping it well organised and attractive for others to use . They also recommend books to others.

Prefects - led by Mrs Rought

This is a group of very special Year 6 children, who applied specifically for the job by writing a letter to Mrs Rought about why they would make the 'Perfect Prefect'.

They do lots of responsible jobs, in particular taking care of overseeing classes in whole school worship.
