Today Year 4 were visited by a medic from the BDMLR (British Divers Marine Life Rescue) who taught us how to save a marine animal (whale and a dolphin) using specialised equipment.

This was in response to our book Michael Morporgo's 'This Morning I met a Whale,' about the famous whale who got stuck in the Thames.

BDMLR are the charity that helped try to save the whale in the Thames, which was watched by over 300 million people around the world. We also met Mark Stevens who was the lead diver and he shared lots of great information with us.

Year 4 will use this experience as a hook for their writing!
