Our Vision, Values and Aims

Our Aim

To achieve excellence in all that we do.

Our Vision

Our vision is to provide a transformative educational experience for every single one of our children. We value the importance of fostering love, respect and celebrating difference. We want all of our children to have the drive, courage and resilience to achieve personal and academic excellence. Children from St. Martin’s will stand out: they will be reflective, think deeply and will look to make a positive difference to God’s world in all that they do.

‘I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength’ – Philippians 4:13

Our Vision for Excellence

Our Vision for Excellence breaks down our school vision into greater detail and is more specific. It is our vision for what we want excellence to look like in a number of key areas. Please click below to read it:

Our Values

We have adopted the following Christian Values in order to remember the story of St Martin based on the acronym of ‘FRESH‘. We use this acronym to help us remember these important values. Our values guide both the adults and the children in the choices and decisions they make. Our Christian 'FRESH' values are below:

Friendship

Respect

Empathy

Sharing

Humility

Our Faith

Based upon Christian family values, in a multi-cultural society, we strive to develop and grow to our full potential as citizens in our local and world community.

As a Church School, the love of Jesus Christ is our foundation, which we hope will be evident to all who pass through our doors. It guides our values, decisions and forms a firm foundation for the rest of the our school.

Our Vision in Child Speak developed by the School Council

We like our school; it gives us new ways to learn in an exciting, happy and safe place.

We like to learn new things even if they are a bit different.

When we do things, we try to do them as best we can, working as part of a team.

We try hard to present our best work. We are helped to find out answers and guided in the right direction.

We respect the religions of other cultures and have friends in other countries.

We try to do our best everywhere we go, not just at school.
