Safer Internet Day
Today was Safer Internet Day!
The theme of the day was “Too good to be true? Protecting yourself and others from scams online.”
Safer Internet Day is celebrated globally in February each year to promote the safe and positive use of digital technology for children and young people, and to inspire a national conversation about using technology responsibly, respectfully, critically, and creatively.
Children took part in activities today related to this, which covered topics such as phishing, personal information, recognizing scams, and critical thinking.
Parents also received a ‘Top Tips’ handout for you to read to help start a conversation about how to spot, respond to, and report all types of scams online.
