Today our Picture News Pioneers introduced the Cut Your Carbon Challenge through class assemblies. 

The children heard all about how climate change is harming the planet, melting ice-caps and creating dangerous weather events including drought and floods. 

The children have been challenged to cut their carbon across the rest of November, these are: 

Have a meat free day 

Walk to school

Turn down the heating a little

Have a quick shower instead of a bath 

Reuse something instead of buying new

Have a 'No Power Hour' 

I wonder how many of us could join in to make a difference?
