KS2 Easter Performances
Fri 11 Apr 2025Today our key stage 2 children performed an Easter themed assembly to their family and friends.
They all sang beautiful songs and told the Easter story clearly, showing a deep understanding of the Easter story told to us in the Bible, years 5 and 6 did this is rhyme!
I am sure everyone who attended was moved by the meaning of the songs and by how well they were performed. A huge thankyou to the staff and children for their hard work in perfecting their performances and to their friends and family for attending.

EYFS Easter Bonnets and Performance
Fri 11 Apr 2025Today our youngest children performed for their parents in a very special Easter bonnet event.
Not only did the children show off their bonnets, they also sang lots of Easter songs with confidence and pride. It was clear that lots of hard work had gone into learning the words and actions.
We hope that the grown ups who came to watch enjoyed the show!

Easter Disco
Wed 09 Apr 2025Tonight was our Easter disco!
The children (and staff) had the best time, dancing and singing along to the music. They also enjoyed the tuck shop, which was run by our parent volunteers.
We raised nearly £400 for our school fund as well!

KS1 Easter Performance
Wed 09 Apr 2025This morning we welcomed the families of children in years 1 and 2 as the performed their special Easter assembly.
We were all impressed by how the children read aloud with such confidence and sang so beautfully. They shared facts about hot cross buns, the Easter Bunny and how the traditions of Easter differ across the world.
They also reminded us all about the real meaning of Easter for Christians, as we celebrate how Jesus rose from the dead.

Spring Rock Steady Concert for Parents
Tue 08 Apr 2025Today our Rock Steady bands performed for their families and then again to the whole school.
What a talented group of musicians they are! We have drummers, pianists, guitarists and singers, who all performed with great confidence and pride.
Everyone who watched the bands commented on how much they have progressed since Autumn - we cannot wait to see the final Summer term show.

Goodbye Mrs Pilsbury
Mon 07 Apr 2025Today the children and staff said goodbye to Mrs Pilsbury, who is retiring after working in the St Martin's office as a lunchtime supervisor for 24 years!
We had a think about what happened in 2001, Bob the Builder was at number one in the charts with Mambo No.5, the first Apple iPod was released, Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone was released as a movie and the Spice Girls split up!
The children presented Mrs PIlsbury with cards they had made and sang her a special song.
We all wish Mrs Pilsbury a wonderful, healthy retirement.

Inspirational Individuals - Part 2
Fri 04 Apr 2025Today the children spent some time learning all about their second Inspirational Individual. The children found out about what has made them inspirational and which Super 7 they needed to achieve,
Years 1 and 2 learnt about David Attenborough
Year 3 and 4 learnt about Stephen Hawking
Years 5 and 6 learnt about Jane Goodall.
Next term there is one more Inspirational Individual to find out about.

Year 1 Pedestrian Training
Thu 03 Apr 2025As a follow up to our road safety assemblies, Sophie Lounds and some staff members led our Year 1 children in their pedestrian training today.
Year 1 had a fantastic afternoon walking around the local area!They were all super sensible and safe at all times, listening carefully to instructions.
Children learnt how to cross a range of crossings with an adult and thought carefully about the dangers around them. -
Reception Mothers' Day Stay and Play
Wed 26 Mar 2025Today the children invited their mums to school to take part in a lovely morning of activities to celebrate Mothers' Day.
The mums and the reception children had a wonderful time together.
